Oaks are the official trees of the United States (and Bur Oaks are the official trees of Lexington).
When Oaks were named the official tree of the United States, it was determined that all oaks, not just one species, would be included, so all of our glorious Kentucky native Oaks qualify.

We'll make it very easy for you with our starter-sized two-gallon Kentucky native Oaks in some of the easiest and most popular species available, and we'll include very easy step-by-step planting and care instructions to set your tree up for success and a long, happy life, in commemoration of our nation's birthday.
Keep it for your own yard or give your tree as a gift to a friend, but either way, it's a gift to our country, and it should still be alive and growing for America's 300th, 350th, 400th birthdays and well beyond as a legacy of the 250th.

Our trees (Oaks and others) are currently dormant until April or May, but you can plant them right now. They are also great to commemorate a wedding, the birth of a baby, an anniversary, a new house, and a celebration of life.
